Self-Clinching Fasteners

Product Overview

Self-Clinching fasteners are used when good pull out and torque loads are required in sheet metal that is too thin to be tapped by conventional methods.  When correctly installed Self-Clinching fasteners are prevented from rotating in the host material and become a permanent part of the application.

Self-Clinching fasteners take less space and require fewer assembly operations, they also have a greater reusability and more holding power than sheet metal screws. Self-Clinching fasteners must be squeezed into place by applying a constant squeezing action
and not a blow (or trauma) type force.  In short, an automated press of some type must be used for installation.

Self-Clinching fasteners are available in the following product ranges:

  • Clinch Nuts - Zinc Plated (CR3) & A1/2 Stainless Steel
